Technology transfer

Technology transfer describes the transfer of processes or even analytical methods from one environment to another. This can involve the transfer from development to good manufacturing practice (GMP) environment, but also the transfer between different manufacturing premises or even manufacturing sites. Technology transfer implies the transfer of processes to a suitable process environment and the transfer of process knowledge.

Depending on the requirements, the technology transfer can also be combined with a transfer validation. In this case, an already validated process or a validated analytical method can be validated in parallel to the technology transfer.
